Shirts

Shirts for Peasant and Noble
The man's shirt evolved from the tunic of medieval times. It went through many style changes until it became the "dress" shirt with which we are all familiar today. Some very Victorian styling even survives in modern dress as Tuxedo shirts (and the morning suit from weddings is almost straight out of Victoriana!).
Right now we offer two different shirts as "off the rack", but these can be made with modifications if you desire.
Basic Shirt - Loose fitting, full "puffy" sleeves that are gathered at the wrist on elastic, open front with grommet and lacing closure, and collar. Available in bleached or unbleached muslin ($40), colored cotton broadcloth ($55) or pure white 100% linen ($80)
Fancy Shirt - Puffy sleeves are gathered into buttoned cuffs at the wrist with a ruffle, neck ties closed with a standup collar and ruffle. Available in bleached or unbleached muslin ($50), colored botton broadcloth ($65), or pure 100% white linen ($95)
